Matador Resources Company

Matador Resources drills for oil and natural gas in Texas, New Mexico, and Louisiana. The company owns rights to pump oil and gas from underground rock formations called the Wolfcamp, Bone Spring, and Haynesville shale plays. Matador also runs midstream operations, which means they process the natural gas and transport the oil and water that comes out of the ground, and they provide these services to other companies as well. The company was founded in 2003 and is based in Dallas.
