Gulfport Energy drills for and produces natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids in the United States. The company operates primarily in two regions: eastern Ohio, where it extracts gas from rock formations called the Utica and Marcellus, and central Oklahoma, where it operates in the SCOOP Woodford and Springer formations. These are underground deposits of oil and natural gas that the company pumps to the surface and sells.
