Xcel Energy delivers electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses across eight states in the upper Midwest, Great Plains, and Southwest. The company generates power from wind farms, nuclear plants, hydroelectric dams, and solar panels, as well as coal and natural gas plants, and then transmits and distributes that power to customers. They also operate natural gas pipelines and storage facilities that supply gas to their customers. Beyond these core utilities, Xcel invests in rental housing projects and community solar gardens.
