Insulet makes Omnipod, a small wireless pod that delivers insulin under the skin for people with diabetes who need insulin injections. The Omnipod 5 system reads blood sugar automatically through a continuous glucose monitor and adjusts insulin doses on its own. Patients control the pod using a handheld device or smartphone instead of traditional insulin pens and syringes. The company also makes pods for a cancer drug delivery system sold by Amgen.
