NexGen Energy is looking for and developing uranium deposits in Canada. The company owns the Rook I project, a large piece of land in Saskatchewan where it believes uranium exists underground. Uranium is used to generate nuclear power. NexGen was founded in 2011 and is still in the exploration stage, meaning it has not yet begun producing uranium commercially.
