Iovance Biotherapeutics develops cancer treatments made from a patient's own immune cells. The company's main product is Amtagvi, a therapy that removes immune cells from a patient's tumor, grows more of them in the laboratory, and puts them back into the patient to fight cancer. The company is testing this approach, called cell therapy, for melanoma and other solid tumors like lung cancer and cervical cancer. Iovance also sells Proleukin, an older immune-boosting drug for melanoma and kidney cancer.
