DRDGOLD Limited extracts gold and silver from old mining waste (called tailings) left behind by previous mining operations in South Africa. The company sells the gold and silver it recovers. Beyond mining, DRDGOLD also generates renewable power, provides maintenance services at its operations, and runs a training center for its employees. The company is owned by Sibanye Gold Limited, a larger mining company.
