Cirrus Logic designs chips that handle sound and other signals in consumer devices. They make audio amplifiers and audio processors, which are components that convert sound between analog and digital formats and apply processing like noise reduction to it. Their chips also control cameras, create vibration feedback (haptic), measure battery levels, and manage power in smartphones, laptops, tablets, headsets, and car entertainment systems. The company does not manufacture chips itself but instead licenses its designs to other companies that make and sell the actual products.
