Albany International makes two types of specialized fabrics and materials. The first is machine clothing: fabrics and belts used in mills to make paper, tissues, towels, and other products. The second is engineered composites, which are lightweight materials made from woven fibers and resin that go into aircraft engines and airframes for both military and commercial planes. The company sells to paper mills, aircraft manufacturers, and defense contractors around the world.
